Duty

Duty

I didn't take this powerful photography of CPD officer Nash at the white nationalist and KKK rally in C'ville on 12 August 2017, but I wish I had.  [nor could I figure out whom to credit for it].

A lone patrolman, standing his watch to protect the free speech rights of several groups that hate him not for what he's done but for who he is, what he is.

Every time I hear or read some pundit gassing off about XXX couldn't possibly do this or that job because he/she gave money to xxx party, I will remember Officer Nash quietly going about his duty.  I'm sure he didn't like it.  I'm sure he'd rather be somewhere else.

But Duty Called and Officer Nash answered that call.

Anyone who claims that an individual can't fulfill his duty to his community, his constitution, his profession, or his nation because of personal preferences impugns every
